C’River Governor Commissions European Union Assisted Projects in Biase Local Government Area.
Cross River State Governor, Senator Professor Ben Ayade, commissioned micro projects in 6 different communities in Biase Local Government Area between Wednesday 1st to Thursday 2nd July, 2020.
The commissioning exercise which started on Wednesday 1st July 2020, took Prof Ayade, ably represented by the Commissioner for International Development Corporation, Dr. Inyang Asibong, to Umuolor and Etana in Erei North Ward, Ikot Ana in Umon North Ward, Akpet 1 in Akpet/Abini Ward and Adim community in Adim Ward. The projects commissioned include Cassava Mill and Six Classroom blocks.
While commissioning the projects, Governor Ayade hails E.U and the various communities for the result-oriented partnership, He made it known that the European Union in partnership with the State Government have assisted many communities to improve the welfare of the people of the state.
Following the successful commissioning and subsequent handover of the projects to the Council Chairman of Biase, Hon. (Princess) Ada Charles, she thanked the European Union team and the state government for supporting Biase Local Government Area with this projects, noting that, the projects executed are veritable tools towards achieving her set integral Action Plan of his administration in practical terms.
In appreciation, the village heads, community youth leaders and other critical stakeholders, poured encomium on Senator Professor Ben Ayade for his leadership style which is industrially driven and commended Princess Ada for facilitating the Commissioning and handover to benefitting communities by E.U NDSP4 team, with a promise of keeping and sustaining the project while putting it to effective use.
Highlight of the occasion was the official handing over of keys to benefiting communities by the Council Chairman, Hon. Ada Charles, who was accompanied by her indefatigable Vice Chairman, Barr. Oyono Owai Ekpe, community leaders, youth and other critical stakeholders.
