CRN 2023: Martin Orim Remains The Best Allure For APC

It is no longer news that the Senate ticket of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Cross River North was won by one man who stands tall among the many appointees of the current government from the senatorial district; and Chief Martin Orim is that man.

Without being ambiguously mischievous, Hon Martin Orim is the most preferred and alluring person for APC come 2023 in regards to Senatorial election against Jarigbe Agom of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Honourable Chief Martin Orim is one whose contributions to the growth of the common man cannot be easily forgotten. He has kept indelible marks in the sands of time in both party affairs, his immediate constituency, Cross River State and Nigeria at large, as these are verifiable deeds which recently led to his African Leadership Award by AIC4SDGS.

Chief Martin Orim is also one who has been very instrumental to the elevation of many young men and women in the Northern Senatorial District through his various empowerment schemes by the GF Orim Foundation.

Truth be told, Jarigbe Agom has been trying his best for the constituency in the position he feloniously found himself but his best is not good enough for the 21st century developmental expectations. He has been tasted, thus the need for a fresh wine to be tasted.

Secondly, the Northern Senatorial District comprises of two Federal constituencies; Ogoja/Yala, and Bekwarra, Obanliku and Obudu Federal Constituency. And the rotation of the senatorial seat has been always shared among the two constituencies since inception of the 4th Republic. Come 2023, it is expected to be the turn of Old Obudu having been in the Old Ogoja for about 15 years (Greg Ngaji, late Rose Oko, and Jarigbe Agom)

Again, I have read through media space, seeing people saying that “it is only Ayade that can win Jarigbe”. What a mischievous and demeaning fallacy! A man who relied on the strength of Ayade to win Federal House of Representative election against Jude Ngaji has suddenly metamorphosed into an insurmountable structure? His sword play and felonious compass has been understood by the system that birthed him. This time around, it won’t be business as usual. He should know that Senate election is not an Ogoja affair, five LGAs are involved, thus the need for him to expect massive scorch.

A father and son can never be set on the same pedestal. It will be demeaning to put a father (Ayade) and son (Jarigbe) in the same ring for the battle of supremacy. A son (Martin Orim) and another son (Jarigbe Agom) will make an interesting and mind-blowing contest for supremacy in the Northern Senatorial District election come 2023.

The All Progressives Congress has a better choice and chance with no other person than High Chief Martin Orim to slog it out with Jarigbe. Martin has held only one elected position as a Councillor many years back and he has remained very outstanding in positively touching and elevating lives. As an appointee of the current government, he demonstrated capacity beyond doubts such that many felt he was the only Ayade appointee from Obudu an its environ.

Martin Orim will make a good representation for the people of Cross River North at the Red Chambers come 2023. With him, the election will be a smooth ride for APC considering that he is a fresh face with credible track records of performance and good leadership
