Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu receives Super Eagles players, officials
The Executive Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday evening hosted Super Eagles players and officials at the State House in Lagos as they prepare for their AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
In his remarks, the Governor says, “Football is a national treasure for us as Nigerians and Lagos has historically favored the Super Eagles so we wish them well with prayers and good cheer.”
Nigeria will travel to Benin Republic by boat later today for their penultimate 2022 AFCON qualifying game in Porto Novo.
The match comes up on Saturday, 27 March, 2021, at 5pm, Nigeria time.
