Legor Idagbo Presents Frontline Senatorial Aspirant ‘Stephen Odey’ To Bekwarra’s PDP Family
Member representing Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House committee on Content Development And Monitoring Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo, presented the frontline senatorial aspirant Dr. Stephen Odey to the Bekwarra People’s Democratic Party family and sons and daughters recently when he toured the 10 political wards of Bekwarra Local Government Area.
The wards visited include Gakem ward, Beten ward, Otukpuru ward, Abuochiche ward, Ukpah ward, Ugboro ward, Nyanya ward, Ochagbe-Afrike2 ward, Ibiaragidi ward and Okpeche Afrike 1 ward.
Hon. Legor in his presentation said the governor of Cross River State had asked him to come and present Dr. Stephen Odey to his people as their son.
He said that over the years, during other senatorial elections, governors who were not even from the Northern Senatorial district had given directives for certain senatorial aspirants to be presented to the Bekwarra people and the candidates were supported. It is thus the right thing to do to support the candidate of their own son, the digital Governor of Cross River State..
In his words, “No politician from Northern Cross River State is closer to Sen. Liyel Imoke than me. And if I learnt anything from him, I learnt that you should always stand by your own. In that vein, I stand with Sen. Ben Ayade in his choice for Senate, Northern Senatorial District”
In his speeches, the leading senatorial aspirant Dr. Stephen Odey told the Bekwarra people that for him, coming to Bekwarra was like homecoming because his wife is from Abuochiche ward in Bekwarra Local Government Area. He promised to join hands with the member of the House of Representatives to bring development to the communities in Bekwarra.
The People’s Democratic Party Chapter Chairman in Bekwarra, Hon. Tom Odama had earlier assured the senatorial aspirant of the support of the party in the local government area. He said the party is a family and the meeting was a family meeting to familiarize with the leading aspirant.
Dr. Stephen Odey was well received by all the party faithfuls in Bekwarra who also promised to deliver him at the primaries, and also vote for him during the election.
He was further blessed by the chiefs and elders of the various communities for success. Dr. Odey thanked the party leadership and constituents for their steadfastness and support.
