YALA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN GIVES PALLIATIVES TO CONSTITUENTS.
In a bid to assuage the suffering of the less privilege, downtrodden and superannuated in Yala, the Executive Chairman of Yala Local Government Council, Hon. Fabian O Ogbeche, today distributed over 1000 bags of rice as palliatives to civil servants, councillors, supervisors and other council appointees to be evenly distributed in their respective wards of Yala Local Government.
The Chairman, while presenting the palliatives to members of Yala Legislative Assembly and appointees, used the opportunity to thank the Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Sir. Prof. Ben Ayade for his care and magnanimity, saying, ”our primary responsibility as government is the security and welfare of our people. We do this by extending our reach to as many people as possible”.
“We know that we cannot meet all the demands of our people at once, all that is expected of us is to continue to do the best we can for the well being of our people” he stated.
Appreciating the Executive Chairman for his benevolence and the laudable gesture, the Leader of Yala Legislative Assembly, Hon. Patrick Egena, commended the Executive Chairman for demonstrating true love by giving succour to the needy and the indigent among them, saying they have been urged to distribute the palliatives without selfishness so that it can reach those who truly needs it, he further thanked the Chairman for the harmonious working relationship with the legislature.
